ditto – Embed Social Media Conversations
Update: the code from socialditto to embed tweets in their original design doesn’t work with newer version of wordpress. I recommend the plugin twitter blackbird pie. This plugin has also been integrated as a core functionality of wordpress.com.
If you read this headline, you probably think that I talk about storify. But no, I am talking about a small and quite unknown service called socialditto, that I stumbled upon today. Ditto works really simple: First you enter an url to a tweet, then you press a button, finally you copy and paste an embed-code. What you get is the whole tweet in it’s original design. So this are some interesting tweets from my timeline today, have a look:
(Update: with the blackbird pie plugin mentioned above you simply need to paste the url into the html-editor. WordPress will integrate the tweet visually using the oembed-functionality).

I think this kind of integration is really cool, not only from a seo-point of view (you have all the content on your page) and from a readers point of view (all links are working), but also from the workaround: It’s really a lot easier than using screenshots or something else. Yes, it’s only a small tool compared to google+, but I nevertheless I like it …
