The recent 2011 Fortune Global 100 Social Media Study from Burson Marsteller says it again: Twitter becomes the social-media tool of choice for the top companies in the world.
But how can companies benefit from the growth of twitter and combine it with another trend that is comming ahead: the content-curation? How can companies improve their reputation, their knowledge management and their communication flow using these social media techniques ?
Last week I saw the regional newspaper Berliner Morgenpost experimenting with the nice tool storify to create social-media-reports of some protests taking place in Berlin. In my eyes this is only a first step for newspapers and companies in a new direction: The bigger the information overflow, the bigger the chance to distinguish with a faster, better and more creative way of curating this information.
